The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) participates in the fasting Iftar program organized by King Saud University for the preparation and distribution of one million meals during the holy month of Ramadan in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, in addition to the distribution of (2000) Ramadan basket to needy families in cooperation with the Etaam food charity.
Mr. Hamoud bin Awdah Al Ghobaini, Senior Vice President for Communications and Public Relations at SEC said that the company's sponsorship of the program to distribute one million Iftar meals is part of its social responsibility policy and its keenness to support all segments of society. He praised the program organized by the Social Responsibility Club of the university, distributing carefully prepared meals to the needy groups and families.
In the same context, Al-Ghobaini pointed out the launch of the SEC Ramadan Basket convoy in cooperation with the Etaam charity, which aims to provide (2000) food basket for needy families in a number of cities and provinces in Riyadh, Mecca, the Eastern Region and Asir.
Amer Al-Barges, the Executive Director of Etaam, praised the role played by the SEC in supporting the programs of the charity, and thanked the volunteer teams of the company for their efforts in distributing the Ramadan basket in all regions.
