Delay of Reconnection of Electricity Service

In case of failure by the Saudi Electricity Company to connect electricity to the subscriber, electricity service should be reconnected within twenty four (24) hours from the time service disconnection is known (or it is reasonably known) by the service provider.

Conditions of Entitlement to Compensation:

1. If electricity service is reconnected within more than twenty four (24) hours from the time service disconnection is known by the Saudi Electricity Company.

2. The demand of compensation should be submitted within (30) days from submission of service application.


If the subscriber from residential category is entitled to compensation, the Saudi Electricity Company will pay compensation at SAR 75, and it is also entitled to additional SAR 75 for every additional (12) hours period in case electricity disconnection continued.

If the subscriber from nonresidential category is entitled to compensation, the Saudi Electricity Company will pay compensation at SAR 150, and it is also entitled to additional SAR 75 for every additional (12) hours period in case electricity disconnection continued.

When the reason of power outage is out of administrative control.
