Repeated power outages

When customer's power  goes off more than 4 times, each of which exceeds four hours within one calendar year, such customer is entitled to compensation for breach of the guaranteed standard relating to repeated power outages.  It should also be noted that in accordance with this standard, customers are entitled to a maximum of one time compensation in one calendar year.

Conditions for Entitlement to Compensation:

1. When customer's power goes off more than four times, each of which exceeds four hours within one calendar year. 

2. The customer is entitled to a one-time compensation within the calendar year. 

3. The claim for compensation hall be submitted within three months from end of the calendar year. 

​If the customer is entitled to compensation, the Saudi Electricity Company shall pay compensation equivalent to SAR 200.

Exception:

When power interruption is caused by circumstances beyond administrative control.​
