Time Frame to Restore Electricity Service After Payment
If the customer whose electricity supply has been disconnected for nonpayment of the due bill, has paid the required amount or has reached a debt settlement arrangement with the service provider, and fulfilled all the reasonable requirements imposed by the service provider, electricity service shall be restored :
o Within three (3) hours in urban regions.
o Within five (5) hours in semi urban and rural regions.
Conditions for Entitlement to Compensation:
1. The customer from urban region has paid the due debt after disconnection of electricity service and the electricity was restored beyond the three (3) hours' time frame.
2. The customer from semi urban / rural region has paid the due debt after disconnection of electricity service and the electricity service was restored beyond the five (5) hours' time frame.
3. The claim for compensation shall be submitted within (30) days after the lapse of the agreed time period within which to deliver the service.
If the customer is entitled to compensation, the Saudi Electricity Company shall pay compensation equivalent to SAR 75, and also, the customer shall be entitled to additional SAR 75 for every additional (3) hours period for all regions.
