The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) calls on establishments in the industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors to apply for the Intensive Electricity Consumption Tariff. SEC clarified that the application period is ongoing until 30-06-2025, and emphasized the importance for establishments to review the eligibility criteria in order to ensure compliance before submitting their applications.
SEC also explained that, based on the eligibility results for the Intensive Electricity Consumption Tariff, an additional charge of 2 halalas per kilowatt-hour (kWh) is added to the electricity tariff for non-eligible establishments in the industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors. The new tariff will be applied starting from 28-05- 2025, noting that the tariff for non-eligible establishments will be updated periodically on the company’s official website.
