1. How are the materials/equipment that require to be pre-qualified has been classified?
Materials/equipment that require to be pre-qualified has been classified into four categories by National Grid SA-
  • Class I - New Product
    • I(a)  New product from already pre-qualified plant
    • I(b) New product from plant which is not pre-qualified
  • Class II - New Licensed Product (A previously pre-qualified product from the original factory and to be manufactured under license in a different factory)
  • Class III - Improved Product (A pre-qualified product that has been improved by the factory)
  • Class IV - Used product
    • IV(a) Product with major technical faults and/or design changes that need requalification
    • IV(b) Product already used in the network but its prequalification is not documented
2. How to know and get product's specification(s)?

Visit our Standards & Specifications portal (Transmission Standards) and find your prodcut's specification(s) there.

3. Can we raise prequalifciation request for more than one products together with same user account?

Yes you can raise prequalifciation request for more than one products together.
If manufacturer is same for all products then you can use same user acocunt for all products but if manufacturers are different then you will have to take another user account from National Grid SA.

4. What are the advantages of having an account on this website?

5. What is the upload documents size in Questionnaire sections?

Each document size should not be exceeded than 10MB and allow PDF format only.
The user should ensure that after selecting the document he clicks on the upload button for uploading document on server.
